My works 2017 wood vivarium 3

2- Tropical Vivarium :

This project will be in lower level of the tropical one with roots and stems inside .

Lighting bulbs will be in void ..

Structure :

Using same method , Build a cubicle wood frame with new or used wood boards

Angles and screws will be used ..

Supports from wood bars ..

Fan opening ( Fan will be outside the vivarium )..

Screen net or chicken wire between the Void and the vivarium to avoid any touch between the animals and the lighting ..

Lights bulb s is installed with sockets , I don't have photos to let you see the process ..
But I put the socket and installed by screws and screw driver on the wood and linked with wire and then I open small opening to let the wires go out of the tank ..
Then all the top cover of the hood , wires and all other areas I protected bu aluminum tape as you can see below the waste laminated paper for it , to reflect the light to the bottom and protect the wires and wood from heat generated from the bulbs ..

Opening for the lights bulbs .. I merge all four or five sockets ( I put one for normal light , One for ceramic heater or heat Emitter bulb , One or two for UV light and one as a spare .. Connected all in one series ( connector is used) as below tips ..

Tip !

Light Bulb Socket ( Normal ) Used for normal light , Night ligh , UV light up to 25 watt ..

WARNING : DON'T USE IT FOR CERAMIC OR ANY HEAT BULB

Ceramic Socket : Used for the high energy bulbs or high input for more that 25 watt ..

Tip !

Terminal block or Wire connector : used when you want to merge seperate lights bulbs or devices into one wire ..

WARNING : BE SURE FROM THE ELCETRICAL DEVICES , TERMINAL AND THE WIRES THAT CAN CARRY THE ELECTRICAL LOAD .. IF NOT THESE DIFFERENT SIZES OF WIRES , TERMINALS FOR DIFFERENT ELECTRICAL LOAD CONSUMPTION..

Tip !

Aluminium tape used to cover all the wires and around the sockets and the terminals to avoid the excessive heat damages .. select the best and the good quality of aluminium tape ..

Decoration :

Liner is cover the wood box all around ..

Foam boards will be covered and attached using maskin tape , Mark the posision of the drain fitting .

The cover took its place above the void ..

This time the tank will be heavely rooted with stems .. I use a real plants I purchased from a nursery .. I select randomelly any cheap plant and look good roots with stems ..
I cut the plant to fit inside the vivarium .. Then installed inside above potting soil .
Small pump and lake for the small waterfall will be supplied ..

These plants are bare of leaves and are only twigs and they will die and can be installed vertically or horizontally.

Aquarium pump with Strainer ( Power head ) :

I used small pump submereed in the small lake here with discharge pipe , Also the electrical wire or cord will be inside the sleeve pipe ..

All these must be hide in the foam .
