Project One : Multiple bugs vivariums

In the October 2015 while I went to shopping I found a letters or booklets library shelves out of my building which I was lift ..

I pulled out to my flat and atart thiniking of whai I can fdo for it ..

It is obviuosly That I fond of bugs at that time which required a small vivariums like beetles , spiders , .. etc .

So , I started to modify this to be a bugs mico zoo !

2- By table saw I cut the removed shelves and Re installed by screw driver and timber screws ..

Steps :

Structure :

The structure it self is ready it is a library or something with shelves ..
but need some modifications to remove some shelves to enlarge the space required or the vivariums , while others will be remain same for smaller species ..

I open the screws and nails of the shelves ..

I put a drawing or plan for the new vivariums arrangment .

The back of the Library was a sheet of thin MDF wood .. It is important to replaced with thicker tiber or MDF wood to be more tough .. But I don't do that and this a negative issue here .. But was not affect the project ..

During transportation some damage happen .. must be fixed ..

Pins or nails removed .. it is embedded inside the wood need some drill , screw drive to be removed ..

My new table saw .. it was new at that time of October 2015 .

Screw driver , Hammer used to removed these nails from the back wood sheet

The shelves Re installed using screws

It is better to number the shelves to know where it was and which one will removed and which one will be remain on it's place ..

3- To hold the soil inside and to hold the rack for sliding window .. I cut some pieces of wood as the photos below .. I used other waste wood for that .. No matter what the color or thicnkess it can be hide later ..

4- Electricals : I put two pins as you can see in the photos to hold the LED lights

Also I add silicon in all around the vivarium box ..

I used three type of LED lights this type used for conceled false cieling with gypsum borads in buildings .. I install it by using pins .. You can use tape or Cement or any glue which can be easly removed in the future I used three types 3 watts , 5 watts and 7 watts .. In the photo above is 5 watts
Usually come with transformer .. which must be outside the vivariums ..

In the smaller vivariums or enclosures it is very hard to use the hammer to put the pins .. So I used this type of installation by tape and tight cable band ..
